Erotica vs. Pornography & Angel Message: "Relax & Don't Worry"

Dear Friends & Strangers!

I just recorded a:
New message on My Free, 24-hour Inspiration Line! "Erotica vs. Pornography" & "Angel Message: Relax & Don't Worry" 215-552-8850

and felt compelled to transcribe and share with you the angel message.
Another reason to do this is that I sometimes update the Inspiration Line message more than once a day, so you may miss this one if you don't receive notice in time. I hope this helps!

Message from the *Angels
by Amethyste Rah (CX)

"Relax, Don't Worry"

Relax, don't worry. Relax. Don't worry.
Times are hard for a lot of people.
Trump's having been elected has made it so hard people are feeling physical ramifications like chest pain, increased blood pressure, and overall extreme anxiety. People are trying to predict the future from different angles and different directions.
But all that doesn't matter. All that matters is you. And that you stay calm. And focus on what YOU need to do to feel better and get yourself back to normal.
You are the only one who can be in charge of that.
And the best way to do that is to relax. Be still. Take slow breaths.
Make yourself feel better, then seek within for answers on what your next step should be.
Many are called to activism at this time. To resist harmful governmental proposed change.
There are many things that people can do.
Relaxing and releasing worry will clear the way for those options to be discovered.
Know and remember that if you want to increase world peace, relax.
Relax, and don't worry.

(*Angels are the arms and thoughts of God. They are non-denominational and available to all who call upon them for divine guidance, wisdom, and protection.)

Me! Me! Me! "Fundraiser Update & More!"

Dear Friends!
Thank you for your growing contributions to my housing fundraiser! As of this typing, you have donated $580 (of the $3,000 goal)!
I am enjoying the temporary relief that hotel stays have given me, but I see that it's time to find something more economical. That is my new goal for immediate relief from street homelessness (since June 2016, and shelter homelessness before that, since June2015).
I do not want anyone to feel embarrassed or bad for me, because I am enjoying all there is to enjoy in life! And now that I've come out of the homelessness closet, I feel free to speak about what's been going on for me.
Unfortunately, I don't seem to have the energy to do this, nor for the many other projects I've been wanting to either complete, or promote. This lack of energy has much to do with the symptoms of my mental illness and trauma history (Bipolar 2 and PTSD), which while managed with medication and weekly psychotherapy, still significantly slow down my activities, and limit my ability to engage with others.
I would like to begin to dwell on what I am doing and can offer and sell, instead of what I am lacking and am seeking assistance with...
I have 7 albums of music and 2 of spoken word guided meditation albums (CD and download) at:

I feel so much better to have finally written this. I've wanted to write this all day. Procrastination hurts! But the relief when action is finally taken, is sawwwweeeet!
Well, that's all for now.
Thanks for being here, and I'll write again soon!

Deciding What to Believe, or Whose Intellectual Heritage?

by Cassendre Xavier

Years ago I worked at an independently-owned academic bookstore. I remember there were many white men, usually over the age of 40, who visited and spoke with the owners - all professors of the ivy league university whose campus was less than two blocks away.

I remember feeling invisible and less than many times, as a younger black woman who didn't go to an ivy league university.

In unpacking and shelving books, I would see title after title and book cover and book cover of images depicting white men. Over and over and over again.

One large hardcover boasted the simple yet imposing title, "Intellectual Heritage". The cover was a painting of an old white guy who looked like a slightly thinner Walt Whitman. I thought to myself, "Whose intellectual heritage? Not mine!"

This was similar to the journey I had returning to my natural spirituality. After having been reared fundamentalist christian and endured the oppressive indoctrination of my country's ideas on religion and who and what I should worship, and what rules I should follow, I had a vision of my people, my dark skinned nature dwelling people hiding our secrets in the trees. I knew this to be truth for me, and I followed that.

That's my "intellectual heritage."

I believe my strength in forming my own spiritual believes comes largely from my creative ability as a humyn with a womb. Wimmin are the most creative when it comes to internal matters. We are great organizers. Men are the grand builders, and both women and men are great thinkers.

I believe the feminine aspects of ourselves, and of the divine, seeks and honors that which is true from within.

Since all people have and can access the feminine and masculine within ourselves, we all have the ability to sense our inner truths. I believe it's easier for women.

We don't have to fall in line with any subscribed religion or so-called intellectual heritage. We can sense and celebrate our own.

Bipoloar Chronicles: Relationship Alternatives for the Perpetually Grumpy!

Trying to figure out how to empower myself if 90% of success in life comes from relationships, and I can't stand people.😁 Putting my love out via my writing, music, events, and having lovers is my way of filling in that gap. Through these, I love and show my love to others. That, plus the occasional visit with friends and family of choice or origins, plus professional networking, is how I do relationships. 💓

I keep thinking

how much
I like the way
his hands look

that work
and lift
and hoist

and command

hands strong
and muscled
yet soft

that tenderly hold
and touch
and stroke

a man's
sexy hands
have always
been a weakness
for Me

and one
that makes
My desire

The Gift of Receiving (GoFundMe Fundraiser)

Dear *Friends,
Hello! How are you!
I am well, I am abundant, I am joyful, I am creative, I am productive, and I am whole!
I have lots of love, rest, and pleasure in my life, I am well supported in many ways.
This is why it has taken me so long to discuss a major challenge I have been having, and that is obtaining stable housing.
There are many reasons I didn't talk about it, and I'm still not even saying it now - because I don't FEEL like I'm suffering and need to ask for help.
But the fact is that the time has come to create a portal for those of you who appreciate my work and what I do to hopefully uplift, inspire, encourage, and entertain - that I create a space for you to step into and say, "Thank you, Cassendre. I want to help you continue your work."
Basically, I was living in a homeless shelter for one year (June 2015-June 2016), and I've been "street homeless" since June 2016. My campaign talks more about it, and I'm sure many of you will be shocked to read it.
Since posting, I have already received two generous donations, and this is before I even wrote to my email contacts.
The campaign description includes my most urgent need, hotel/motel rooms, and I am very grateful that I'm covered for the next/this current week.
Even better is that I just received a thousand dollar check for some creative work I did last year.
I am now free to order the hotel/motel rooms that will allow me to be more comfortable, so I can return to the joyful work I was doing.
For that past couple of years, while I was homeless, (and still am as we type this), I still released my album "Hope", kept up with my Wisdom Magazine monthly column, wrote a lot on Facebook and Twitter, and on my blog I still produced the 9th & 10th Black Women's Arts Festival (9th, I went home to a shelter, and 10th I went "home" to public transportation or transit station or the then much less frequent hotel/motel room stay). And I even resumed and continue to maintain my Free, 24hr Inspiration Line 215-552-8850.
All of this is in service not only to my art of multi-media healing and self-expression, but also to one of last of my 4-part album series Affirmations for Survivors: "Life Skills". I knew when I first announced that I would be working on this, that my life would change drastically, just so that I could learn whatever I needed to, to make this spoken word guided meditation album (first two were "Self-Love", and "Spirituality, released in August 2007").
Friday and Saturday night I went out to dinner and then slept over a sweetie's. Tonight I do not have lodging. Tomorrow night, I will be at a hotel room alone. By Tuesday I will have funds to rent at least two more hotel rooms for the week.
And hopefully very soon I will find a room to rent for under $400/month - one that is safe, quiet, and free of drug- and alcohol-abusing tenants.
I am very very grateful to have had this journey, and to finally be free to share/talk about it, with you, my faithful audience and supporters.
This is what I wanted - to be able to come to you for help while still celebrating the joy and abundance in my life.
I still need your help, and I will continue to, even when I've moved into a room, just as I will still need your help even when I am fully independent financially, touring Europe as a "successful" singer-songwriter-guitarist. The help will be sometimes financial, and it will sometimes not be. I may ask you to fund a new album, or new project, as many artists to regularly, ask of their fans and appreciators. Or I may ask you to buy my work, or visit my restaurant, who knows.
Right now I'm asking you to fund my way to steady housing, something I have not experienced in years, due to my personal challenges of being a child/sexual abuse survivor with mental health issues (Bipolar & PTSD). We all have our stories to tell, and we all are affected by them.
My story just happens to be very public and contain arts-related projects to mark my time on earth. I hope I have been and will continue to be helpful to you.
Thank you to those of you who have donated your thoughts, prayers, well-wishes, praise, positivity, love, and money to the cause that is the renaissance negresse.
Thank you and I welcome even more!
With warm appreciation,

Goddess Sundays: Tired & Creative

Goddess Sundays

Where every week we explore feminine aspects of the divine.

by Cassendre Xavier

Dear Friends,

I'm very tired right now and I'm thinking: I don't really want to write this. And I know I have the choice not to. But I also know two things: 1) That I made a commitment to myself to write this piece every week. And being faithful to myself in this way feels good. I realize it won't always be comfortable or easy, but like physical exercise or any other practice of discipline, I feel good performing the task. It increases my self-esteem and makes me think I am doing well.

We won't always feel good about everything we do. We may be exhausted as we're doing it, and often feel like we don't want to continue. We can choose to leave that task, or we can choose to re-commit to it. Just because you are tired doesn't mean you have lost all your steam. It doesn't mean it's all over. It just means you need a rest. It means you are humyn, and it certainly means you have been active, and that's a good thing!

One thing that can help us to remain active and creative when we're tired is to remember that we don't need a ton of energy to be creative. Creative energy is released in parts, some parts are big and bold, and others are slow and subtle. Some are hard and some are soft.

When you are very tired and you want to continue, continue working, continue living, continue creating, and you don't know how you will, remember:

1) You can rest. Take a break. That doesn't mean you are no longer creative, alive, or active. Take a break. Say no to people sometimes. Disappear. And feel okay about this.

2) Remember that you don't need to know the whole picture or the whole project before you begin. You can start even as you are exhausted. You can begin at whatever stage of development or energetic level you are. Too often, we hold back from starting something we're excited about because we don't think we have enough yet. We think we have to be smarter, thinner, richer, better put together insofar as what our lives look like "on paper". But all we really need to do is say what we want to do and begin somewhere. Anywhere. All you need to do is think, 'I'm ready" and write that down for yourself - your dream. And begin. Begin even if you're tired. And don't worry if you don't know exactly what you're doing or what the end product of your creation will be. This is the way geniuses work - afraid, insecure, but with the fire of their conviction - of their vision.

Right now I'm very tired, but I'm also full of faith, passion, and the creative energy that created you and me.

I am here, I am alive, and I'm doing things that support me in continuing to be so.

We can all do this, and at any stage.

May this message energize you to action, and improved faith and good feelings.

Stay well and thrive!

True Life, Authentic Life

It takes a bit of time to pause frequently during one's day, sense what the best, most authentic thing to do next is, and then take action, but wow, is it worth it! Don't do anything you don't truly want to do. Have faith and trust that sooner or later your efforts will be rewarded, because nothing fake or forced can be truly healthy or lasting. In the end, authenticity always wins, and even if it didn't you deserve to be truly yourself. You WANT the full experience of Life, the Life for your true and real self, thoughts, desires and fears. True life, with all its brambles and thorns, is the best Life there is!

Goddess Sundays: To Receive is Divine

Goddess Sundays - where every week we celebrate feminine aspects of the divine...(on Facebook and Twitter for many months :)

To Receive is Divine

by Cassendre Xavier

January is "Get a Balanced Life Month" and what better way to celebrate than to practice receiving. The truly powerful and effective at living do not only give. We know that giving too much creates physical and emotional ailments. Codependence comes to mind as an unhealthy condition of over-giving.
One of the things about giving too much that we often forget is that the receiver also suffers. As in codependence, when we give too much to someone or help them too much, we enable them to be weak and never improve - never face their problems or related consequences.
In the case of giving a compliment or a gift, that act of giving is not complete until the receiver has done their part. Part of that is simply saying, "You're welcome." Not, "My pleasure," or "No problem," but "You're welcome.
Saying "You're welcome" acknowledges that you know you are giving something and you receive the thanks you are given.
One of my sweeties is being trained by me to say "You're welcome." I don't feel good after I say thank you for a gift until I've heard "You're welcome." Then I know my thank you has been received. The answer I get after specifically requesting a "You're welcome" is "Of course you're welcome." But I don't know that until I hear it, or rather I want to hear it anyway. I need that.
It's much like children need to hear "I love you". Or adults in a romantic relationship. It isn't enough for it to be understood.
In order to be truly powerful and live authentic, self-actualized lives, we must become adept at receiving as well as we give.
Also, receiving gives the giver the opportunity to give and to serve, which are both not only very honorable but pleasurable activities. Until something is received, it cannot be truly given.
Additionally, when it comes to asking for help, love, companionship, money, support, encouragement, hugs, etc., it takes courage. Asking for help is one of the most difficult things for people to do, especially those with self-esteem or previous abuse issues.
This can be overcome with practice, and with seeking images and examples of individuals, organization, and even corporations which are in the regular habit of asking not only for money, but lots of it. There is no shame in asking for help or any kind of assistance, especially when one has worked and earned various kinds of support.
When it comes to love, though, we have nothing to earn. We are born worthy of love. If you don't feel you are getting enough love and support from a friend, lover, or any other kind of relationship partner, after asking for it, that's a big and bold sign to step AWAY from that relationship!
You should be able to ask for and receive what you want in a relationship, if love is what we're talking about. Love should never have to be earned. And if you think it should, you're either in a relationship or you're talking about something kinky!
Here's to you in becoming balanced in both giving and receiving this January, and every day going forward.

Goddess Sundays: You Choose to Be Here

GODDESS SUNDAYS (where every week we explore feminine aspects of the divine): All is life and you choose to be here. Do not fear death, because it is another form of being. Do not fear failure because without it there can be no success. Do not fear pain, because it is part of life and you are strong. Do not fear joy, because you are worthy and able to hold it. All is life and you choose to be here.

Why Ask Why (bipolar euphoric poetry)

sunday january eighth, the year two thousand and seventeen

today I have

forty-seven years

of living

in this place of challenge

and overwhelming pleasure

it has been a good time

it has not always been easy

but I am so happy

to be here!

to be here!

it is sunday

I am in a good place

I am in a bookstore

I am in my office

I am in love

with my life

And I am grateful

I wonder why

I feel so happy

When there is so much wrong

in the world

And in my own little corner

of it

At first I worry

About whether

I am too happy

I know I'm

manic right now

And every happy feeling

Is suspect, but

Why not think I'm happy because

I spend so much time focusing

On the good

there also exists

In the world and all around me

What if

I'm just happy because?

Because I'm comfortable

Because I'm freshly showered

And shampooed

Because I have healthy food in me

Because I'm in a comfortably toasty

Warm and friendly

I am in good company

And I am doing good

And joyful things

What if my joy today

Has nothing to do with my

brain disorder

Do healthy people question

And feel uneasy with their joy?

And what is "healthy" anyway?

The sun is shining so boldly today

It's as if it has no shame

No embarrassment to be as loud

as it wants to be

As obvious

As typical

"Oh sunlight!"

"You are such a show-off!"

"Simmer down, now, sun!"

"Calm yourself!"

If we do not say this

to the sun

If we appreciate

Its brightness

Its light

Against certain kinds of darkness

If we want its warmth

If we cannot live without it

For food

Even when it is

Too bright and

Too hot

We can then accept and love the sun

Just as it is

Why can't I

do the same

with and about

my brain?

"Oh, brain!"

"You are such a show-off!"

"Simmer down, now, brain!"

"Calm yourself!"

I will not say this

to my brain

I will appreciate

Its brightness

Its light

Against certain kinds of darkness

If I want its fullness

If I cannot be without it

For authentic living

Even when it is

Too bright and

Too "much"

I can then accept and love my brain

Just as it is

And stop asking

10 Powerful & Loving Thoughts & Affirmations for the New Year

 by Cassendre Xavier

(shared with the kind permission of Wisdom Magazine)

As we approach the end of one year and make our entrance into another, let us take time to reflect upon the lessons we learned and will apply, along with our own inner wisdom to become more self-actualized and joyous humyns, being.

May the following thoughts and affirmations assist you in making the next year your best year!

1. I can have or create anything I want, if I am willing to do the hard work when necessary, and receive easy joy and blessings when that is necessary also. I seek support and role models to inspire and motivate me to continue my good work for myself and others. I am worthy of good things and I now receive an increasingly happy life experience!

2. I am willing to change and grow. I accept the changes I see in my life and all around me, and I am more comfortable as time goes by, because I create for myself new kinds of security within. I am powerful and I embrace and express my power often, with love and gentleness towards myself and others.

3. I am a community servant. I enjoy being around people, and supporting others on their path to increased self-love and self-actualization. I do many things to take good care of myself when I am alone, so that I have the energy and interest to be kind and generous to others when I am around them. I like people, and people like me!

4. I embrace glowing health now! Because of my continuously improving lifestyle habits, I am looking and feeling better than I have in many years. I demonstrate the characteristics of someone whose daily habits include healthful whole foods, exercise, meditation, and laughter. I feel good about myself and I take certain and specific self-loving measures to demonstrate my healthy self-esteem, such as good grooming and attractive attire. I receive compliments often on my healthy and attractive appearance.

5. I am creatively self-expressed. I do things that are artistic, crafty, or just involve my thinking of and bringing things into existence that weren't there before, whether that's baking a cake, or making a travel itinerary, or other personal or professional goal. I am creative and I use my creativity often!

6. I release all judgement I may have about myself or about others. I am free in my mind and spirit. I see the good in every one, and I have inner peace.

7. I make room in my life for love, because I put love in my life for sure! I do things I like, and I am loving to others. These things bring love all around me and make me attractive to even more love. I am a loving and joyful being!

8. I have a strong and able mind. I exercise my mind often in various ways, and I appreciate everything my mind does for me. I eat brain-enhancine superfoods and nutrients and take herbal or vitamin supplements to furhter iimprove my brain function. I meditate often to also relax and strengthen my brain. I'm a great thinker!

9. I am a forgiving persun. I practice forgiveness many times a day, and begin each night of sleep after having forgiven everyone who I may have felt wronged me earlier in the day, as well as myself. Regular forgiveness is now a regular spiritual and mental health practice in my life. I forgive others easily and I often am pleasantly surprised by how forgiving others are towards me. I celebrate the power of forgiveness and am a shining example which inspires others to also be more forigiving in their lives!

10. This year already is the best year of my life! I am here, I am hopeful and excited about my life and its possibilities, I look back on my successes and use them to fuel my future accomplishments. I bask in the soft glow of self-love and am a powerful inspiration to those around me.
