Dream Life - Reclusive Writer

Sometimes I want to be a recluse, only writing books and paper letters, talking to my editors, and going out only for dates, singing gigs, and book signings.

Goddess Sundays: How She Teaches

The Goddess does not teach with fear. She suggests that you connect with your heart and ask it what the Truth is. That truth has no pain, fear, shame, or guilt, but only life, and the freedom to live as you choose.

Goddess Sundays: Don't Oversexualize Her

I am the Goddess. I am the female Divine.
I am life, birth, and much, much pleasure.
I am sexual and I am abundance.
Do not oversexualize me. I am not yours. Respect the Goddess.

Goddess Sundays: Reviving the Feminine Divine

Misogyny, racism, and political corruptness have suppressed the image (but never the presence) of the feminine Divine. Self-empowerment of wimmin, people of color, and entire communities are raising Her up again.

Goddess Sundays - Treat the Earth Like A Vagina

It hurts me to watch men tearing into the earth, burning it for no good reason, or putting poison into it. The earth, ground, and soil should be treated like a vagina; never harmed but honored and revered for the power it has to bring life, sustenance, and beauty.

On Nightly Forgiveness

End your day with forgiveness. Forgive those who annoyed or wronged you, and forgive yourself for having been annoyed and played the victim. Nightly forgiveness soothes the mind, comforts the soul, and clears the way of your fondest dreams to manifest.

Goddess Sundays: Creation Works for Own Reasons

Applause, approval, and rewards are nice, but the Goddess is creation, and works for Her own reasons. All empowered wimmin and enlightened men know this.
Cassendre Xavier

Goddess Sunday: No Proselytizing

Goddess spirituality is like other practices that work from the inside out, like yoga, meditation, and raw foods. There is little if any  proselytizing, preaching, and pressuring. There is mostly glowing, inspiring, and demonstrating.

Goddess Sundays: We Ask Questions

Questions such as:
What is the truth of my heart?
Does my heart believe in the images "they" have forced upon me of "hell" and attaching guilt and shame to sex?
What is behind my reluctance to give as much honor to the female deity?
Am I willing, strong, courageous, fearless enough to step out in my own, rather than someone else's faith?
Does it make sense to bow to the fear-based teachings of those who would oppress me?
Does it make sense to accept the religion of people who once upon a time killed, tortured, abused women, people of color, children, LGBT folks, and/or who still do in some way or another?
Why should men be the only ones who get to recognize and honor the feminine Divine?
If I were free of all kinds of fear, how would I choose to worship or design my spiritual practice?
And who would be in my spiritual community?

In honor of my "Goddess Sundays": Celebrating and Honoring the Feminine in the Divine and in Each of Us. ~Rev. CX (Cassendre Xavier, legally ordained Interfaith Minister since September 19, 2010. Ministering through the creative and healing arts professionally since 1991.)

HARM REDUCTION EATING -19 April 2015

Yesterday I had NO hypertention headache (which I usually have every day)! I'm sure it's due to my eating 4-5 perfectly ripe (with brown spots - see picture) bananas and drinking 12oz+ orange juice 30 minutes before at least one meal. And yesterday I didn't even have my usual daily supplements (including niacin, magnesium, valerian, and tonic made of water, apple cider vinegar, organic molasses, and sodium bicarbinate (baking soda).
It helped that I also ate cooked greens prepared with a ridiculous amount of garlic, and did nothing but rest all day!

Goddess Sunday: Woman in Harmony with Spirit

In honor of my "Goddess Sundays": Celebrating and Honoring the Feminine in the Divine and in Each of Us. ~Rev. CX (Cassendre Xavier, legally ordained Interfaith Minister since September 19, 2010. Ministering through the creative and healing arts professionally since 1991.)
ABOUT THE IMAGE
Cassendre says: I couldn't find the credit for the original artist, but I did find interesting info about who created the quote pic: Lindsay Winkler.
Lindsay is a South Carolina-based "fiber artist, bone marrow transplant survivor. loving this collective consciousness, expressed in images, the same thought, at virtually the same time..."
This image was in one of her many Pinterest boards, this one called "Running with the Wolves," surely based on the bestselling book "Women Who Run With the Wolves: Myths and Stories of the Wild Woman Archetype" by Clarissa Pinkola Estes, PhD.
TEXT OF MAYA ANGELOU QUOTE:
A woman in harmony with her spirit
is like a river flowing.
She goes where she will without pretense
and arrives at her destination prepared to be herself,
and only herself.”

2 New Poems! "Safety Pin" & "So Much Money (For My Siblings)"

There are special and nifty and REAL holidays throughout the year, almost every day, and I like to pick my favorites and celebrate them however is fun for me. One of those ways is writing about them.

Today is April 10 and the holidays I want to celebrate are "Safety Pin Day" and "National Sibling Day".

I wrote a poem for each, and I hope you enjoy them.

Appreciativement,

Cassendre

=======================
Safety Pin Day (April 10)

Poem: "Safety Pin
"

When I was a kid
I lived in New York
With two aunts
One fat and dark
The other skinny and light
Fat aunt was older
Skinny younger
The first was funny
The second mean

One day the fat one
Told me that when you
Wear a safety pin
On your clothes
It meant you were pregnant

I didn't understand why
Later used them
On a baby's cloth diaper
But I still didn't understand.

National Sibling Day (April 10)

Poem: "So Much Money (For My Siblings)
"

I wish I had so much money
I would give it to my siblings
I would buy my brother a car
A big SUV
To carry all his equipment
For gigs that pay him a lot
I wish I could treat
His daughters my nieces
To expensive gadgets
They are blessed to know well

I wish I had so much money
For my sister-in-love
To say thank you
For all she's done for me
Putting me up twice
This "middle-aged" womon
Who doesn't always do so well
On her own yet
I'd buy her whatever she wants
And spare no expense
For her luxurious tastes

And dear sister my only
Sister dear
I wish I had so much money
The first I'd do is pay off all
Your school debt
Buy you a house
Free and clear
Far away from what doesn't
Serve you and yours

But I have only my words
Of love, appreciation
And respect
For these fine, fine people
My parents produced.
