CONTENTS OF TABLE

A) GREETING

Years ago as I sat the kitchen table which was also my stationery/mail art/letter-writing table to write, I put out a strong prayer, a psychic call to the Universe, and an infallible intention that I could make money at writing. Through my various museletters that dream has come true in various ways. Even if all you do after you read this is feel good, you will have added to the divine flow of grace in my life that makes my work so joyous and worthwhile.

Dear Friends,

How are you? I trust this message finds you doing well and that it has not been too long for you since I've written.

I want to share some of my life with you and as the years go by it looks and feels different how I do it. At times there has been humor, at times I've been very self-revelatory. I am experiencing a more serious, mature, and muted voice behind the ink and under my fingertips as I write and type these days. Still, when one is doing one's art and expressing themselves authentically, the love and good intention always shines through. It is from this place in which I greet you, always with hopes for your best as well as mine.

    1) OPEN LETTER TO MY FRIENDS

Dear friends I not so long ago used to call and actually hang out with in persun. I have changed. My needs have changed. I can't handle people these days, I'm sorry. I think of you often and am pursuing my work as well as taking care of myself. As my life changes I may be around more often, but it doesn't mean I'm thinking of you any less now. I hope you understand and I wish you the best as always. Signed – Typical Bipolar.

    2) WHERE I'M LIVING & WHAT I'M DOING THESE DAYS

East Germantown. Writing, planning, organizing, having meetings with colleagues. But mostly writing, planning, and trying to catch up on my sleep.

Some highlights of this work are:

Black Women's Arts Festival News May/June 2014 - in which BWAF Philly 2015 (Philadelphia's 9th) and BWAF NOLA 2016 (New Orleans' 1st) Black Women's Arts Festivals are announced: http://yhoo.it/1hnAyAw I am so happy to have been able to reclaim our original domain of http://BWAFphilly.org, where you can find more info as it becomes available.

I am very proud about something that happened recently – Wisdom Magazine blurbed me in their June 2014 newsletter! I've been writing for Wisdom Magazine's online edition since May 2009 and I've never seen my work mentioned in a newsletter... and in this newsletter, no other Wisdom Magazine's online edition authors were mentioned: “Are You Ready to Write a Self-Help Book? Wisdom webzine columnist Cassendre Xavier offers some tips and advice to help you determine whether or not you are finally ready to write that self-help book. Read the full article online at www.wisdom-magazine.com/Article.aspx/3597/” So thrilling!

The Women's Writing & Spoken Word Series, which I founded in 2002 and has been on and off in various venues since then, will return on 2nd Thursdays from September thru December 2014 at Big Blue Marble bookstore in Mt. Airy. I will send notice as soon as the times are confirmed, and will send submissions information soon as well. Meanwhile, if you'd like to send a pic and short bio to WomensWritingSeries [AT] yahoo [dot] com, who could stop ye? http://www.WomensWritingSeries.org. Again, another domain I'd let expire and am thrilled to have been able to get it back. I thought I was done with the Series, but lo and behold. Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in!!

Lots of writing on my blog: http://cassendrexavier.blogspot.com/

    3) NEXT CONCERT

Save the Date! Thurs. October 23, 2014 – Lansdowne Folk Club, Lansdowne PA (Opening for Dave Nachmanoff) http://folkclub.org

    4) NEW! A COURSE IN MIRACLES VIRTUAL STUDY GROUP

Effective immediately, from the moment I conveived it a couple of weeks ago, and announcing it for the first time now, I have started and so there is now a CX-founded Virtual Study Group for A Course in Miracles, “A unique, universal, self-study spiritual thought system that teaches that the way to Love and Inner Peace is through Forgiveness”.

We meet on the inner planes, and this self-directed study can be done anywhere, any time as you wish. Most of us will probably do the morning and evening meditations, but again, it's up to you.

I was looking for something like this and I'm glad it now exists! You can be a new student, an experienced teacher, something in between or neither.

The edition I have, ISBN 0960638822, A Course in Miracles: Combined Volume (Vol. 1: A Course in Miracles; Vol. 2: Workbook for Students; Vol. 3: Manual for Teachers), 2nd edition (1985) (Paperback) is a nice thick, 1.7 lbs, 1,200 pages used for as little as $ .25cents plus $3.99. http://amzn.to/1pYn8vc

You can also get it in an ebook format, as a free app, or read it online for free at https://acim.org/.

I know there are many ACIM students out there, and I would like a psychic cohesive sense I'm not alone. So, if you'd like to join, join in, and know you're part of the group. Send me an email if you like – to let me know you're here. And I can update everyone we're one stronger. Thanks and have fun!

  1. 12 X Life

A little over a year ago, my partner Tom died of a longtime heart condition. A few days ago, my last remaining grandparent (grandmother) died just weeks shy of her 95th birthday. So, I'm experiencing some grieving for sure.

Even with those, and other life challenges, no matter how painful it gets, I tell myself I would do it all again. I would come back 12 times to experience life on this wonderful plane of possibility and choice. That's what it's all about here – choice. We get to choose how we live, how we think, who we will be around. Sometimes it's very painful, but I think I'm just in love with the game. It's a big, wild, wacky ride, but I'd hop on again, 12 times.

Z) FAREWELL BLESSING

You are love. Therefore, you don't have to be perfect.
